The purpose of the Prayer Blanket Ministry is to cover the recipient in prayers.  Members of the ministry sew the prayer blankets in their homes while praying for those who will be receiving them.  When one touches the blanket, they know they are not alone.  The Prayer Blanket is a tangible symbol of the faith community’s prayers.

This blanket was made with love and care,
each stitch made with a special prayer.
To warm you when you feel a chill,
and hold you when you’re very ill.
To give you strength and hope and cheer,
to let you know that God is near.
As you wrap it around you tight,
know that God blesses you this night.
